Measurement Overview

In conducting the research, a 1-10 scale was used. Various question types including satisfaction, likelihood, agree/disagree, forced ranking, and open ended were used.

In interpreting the data, all scores of 6 and below on a 10-point scales were treated as negative responses and scores of 8 and above were treated as positive. Scores in the 7’s were isolated as they are indicative of borderline satisfaction and are typically below the level required to sustain employee loyalty over time.

Each item in isolation only tells a part of the story. In order to get a true sense of the situation, one must review the summary results, the verbatim comments and responses by segments to see the patterns that emerge. These items, taken as a whole, create a comprehensive picture of the situation.
